Description

Robert Half is seeking an experienced and results-driven Controller to join our organization on a contract basis. As a Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and internal controls. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and the ability to make informed financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to the executive team and department heads.

  • Develop and execute financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability goals.

  • Prepare and oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

  • Present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.

  • Manage the annual budgeting process, including the development, monitoring, and reporting of budgets.

  • Create financial forecasts to assist in decision-making and planning.

  • Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and tax requirements.

  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.

  • Implement and monitor financial policies and procedures.

  • Manage cash flow and liquidity to meet operational needs and financial obligations.

  • Optimize investment of surplus funds and manage banking relationships.

  • Perform financial analysis, variance analysis, and financial modeling to support decision-making.

  • Identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.

  • Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors.

  • Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and compliance.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the department.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred.

  • Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar financial leadership role.

  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.

  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
