Description
Bring your accounting experience and know-how to a dynamic, growing team at Robert Half, now seeking a permanent HYBRID Construction Senior Accountant in the SANTA FE, New Mexico or Albuquerque New Mexico area. As a Senior Accountant, your duties will include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. What you get to do every day
Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner
When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests
Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Partake in various department-wide initiatives
Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Requirements
Accounting experience in Construction, Mortgage, Banking
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Current and relevant ERP system experience
Exceptional time management skills preferred
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
5+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Vow to meet business deadlines
Adeptness in fund accounting
WIP - Work In Progress experience highly preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of Prepaids
Cash Flow Forecasts experience required
Earlier work involving Subledger
General familiarity with Adjusting Journal Entries
Background working with Fixed asset management
GAAP Accounting experience desired
Experience with general ledger
Account reconciliation experience
Accrued Expenses experience
Practical knowledge of month end closings
