Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Santa Fe Springs, California
Description A successful Wholesale Distribution - Dur Goods organization that will recognize your efforts is working with Robert Half to find a talented Accounting Manager. Candidates who can lead daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, will be preferred for this position. The ability to create and monitor the company's accounting and finance operations will be essential for this role. Located in the Santa Fe Springs, California area, this Accounting Manager position would be on a permanent basis.
Major responsibilities
Organize a variety of technical accounting analyses, procedures, and policies
Assist in preparing GAAP financial statements, which includes data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes
Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
Play a key role in the implementation of NetSuite Financials, which includes system and process design, data migration, testing, training, and go-forward system administration
Provide regular review and analysis of balance sheets and income statement accounts owned by the Senior Accountant
Team up with FP& A and accounting management to develop relevant, timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook
Lead and encourage the full accounting team performance during the closing process to ensure deadlines are met Requirements - Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently
Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred
Practical knowledge of Full Cycle Accounting
Well-founded grasp of Monthly Financial Statements
Deep understanding of Manufacturing Industry
IBM AS 400/3x experience
Proven knowledge of financial statement preparation
Inventory planning & reporting experience
Financial Statement experience highly desired
General familiarity with month end closings
Quality experience with Full Cycle
Comprehensive knowledge of inventory controls
Customer service oriented communication skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
Demonstrated technology and analytical abilities
Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
Recent relevant financial experience
