Robert Half Systems Engineer in Santa Fe Springs, California
Description We are seeking a Systems Engineer for a contract role located in Santa Fe Springs, California. This role is crucial in maintaining and managing servers, with a specific focus on Google Cloud Platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including OS patching and upgrades, sizing and maintaining environmental resources, and remediation of bugs and server shut-downs/slowdowns.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the management and maintenance of servers, ensuring optimal conditions.
• Regularly perform OS patching and upgrades.
• Size and maintain environmental resources to ensure efficient system performance.
• Establish and maintain networking tunnels.
• Configure firewalls as per the organization's security guidelines.
• Promptly address and remediate bugs and server shut-downs/slowdowns.
• Monitor and analyze environmental analytics such as CPU, storage, RAM usage.
• Utilize skills in Cisco Technologies, Citrix Technologies, Database, Dell Technologies, EO/IR systems, AB Testing, Active Directory, Backup Technologies, Computer Hardware, and Configuration Management.
• Leverage Google Cloud Platform for various tasks and projects. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Systems Engineer role or similar position
• Proficiency in Cisco Technologies and Citrix Technologies
• Experience with databases and Dell Technologies
• Knowledge of EO/IR systems and Active Directory
• Familiarity with AB Testing and Backup Technologies
• Experience with computer hardware and Configuration Management
• Proficiency in using the Google Cloud Platform
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field preferred Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
