Description
We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Bilingual (Spanish) HR Specialist in Santa Maria, California. The role is situated within a fast-paced environment and involves a wide array of HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, HR projects, and administrative support.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in recruitment activities by managing social media platforms, placing job ads, and conducting background and reference checks.
• Oversee new employee onboarding process to ensure smooth transition and integration into the organization.
• Maintain and update employee data in HR information systems accurately and timely.
• Coordinate and provide logistical support for HR events and training sessions across different departments.
• Contribute to various HR projects, including annual benefits enrollment, performance management, auditing, and training initiatives.
• Provide administrative support to the HR team, including writing and distributing employee communications related to company events, wellness challenges, and employee perks and benefits.
• Act as a backup for various HR functions as needed.
• Create ad hoc reports, manage training enrollment, and maintain distribution lists.
• Assist with user management for all HR systems, including troubleshooting for users when necessary.
• Manage the HR ticket queue input and create detailed analysis for HR reporting and research.
• Any other duties as assigned
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred plus at least 3 years experience in HR admin
• Strong understanding of Excel
• Experience in onboarding
• Recruiting experience
• Understanding of benefit functions
• Excellent communication skills
• Compliance knowledge and experience
• Fluency in Spanish Language
