We are looking for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Santa Monica, California. This role involves overseeing the finance and accounting department, managing the quarterly close process and monthly soft close, as well as preparing financial reports. You will also play a significant role in mentoring and training the corporate accounting team to create efficiencies and streamline processes.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the quarterly close process and monthly soft close, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
• Handle Revenue Recognition under ASC 606, Equity Method of Accounting for Investments under ASC 323, Consolidations under ASC 810, and Operating Leases under ASC 842
• Assist in preparing quarterly unaudited financial statements, partner capital reports, annual audited financial statements and footnotes, audit requests, and annual tax workpapers
• Supervise and manage the finance and accounting department, ensuring all members are performing their duties effectively
• Mentor and train the corporate accounting team to create efficiencies in the close process, automate and streamline processes
• CPA required
• Utilize accounting software systems and ERP solutions to manage accounting functions
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, auditing, and billing functions
• Handle the accounting for alternative investments and consolidated financial statements
• Manage the financial statement preparation and month end close processes.
Requirements
• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions
• Ability to perform Accounting Functions
• Experience in Auditing and Billing Functions
• Knowledge of Consolidations and Alternative Investments
• Ability to prepare Consolidated Financial Statements
• Experience in Financial Statement Preparation
• Proficiency in managing Month End Close
• Must have at least 7 years of experience in an accounting manager/supervisor role or similar
