Description
A dynamic media company in Santa Monica is seeking an Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist to join its finance team on a temp-to-hire basis. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and has a passion for accurate, efficient AP operations. Experience with Concur is highly preferred.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
Process and code vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Manage Concur expense reports, verifying receipts and approvals.
Handle weekly payment runs via ACH, wire transfers, and checks.
Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely invoice approvals and payments.
Assist with month-end AP close and prepare related journal entries.
Maintain accurate and organized AP records for audits and reporting purposes.
Qualifications:
2+ years of accounts payable experience, preferably in the media industry.
Experience with Concur is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of AP processes and payment systems (ACH, wire, check).
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables are a plus).
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite) is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is a plus, but not required.
