Robert Half Customer Service Representative in Santa Rosa, California

Description

  • Satisfactorily completes all required training, in-services, and certifications.

  • Complies with hospital and departmental uniform dress code requirements by dressing neatly and professionally at all times.

  • Holds all patient information confidential and maintains full HIPAA compliance.

  • Maintains awareness of environmental surroundings at all times and addresses needs accordingly, appropriately, and timely (i.e. housekeeping, security, etc.).

  • Provides customer service assistance for visitors with concerns/complaints by directing them to the appropriate department manager.

  • Ensures customer sensitivity when dealing with ICU and/or OR patients, families, and visitors.

  • Personally assists with hospital discharges and other wheelchair transports for outpatient clinic visits, etc.as deemed necessary.

  • Maintains close contact with Guest Services Dispatchers to be readily available to provide patient related transport services (i.e. wheelchair).

  • Identifies individuals who need assistance and/or directions, and assists them appropriately and in a timely manner.

  • Summons the necessary and appropriate help for any visitor requiring medical and/or security assistance, as necessary.

  • Greets, assists, and directs patients, visitors, and others who enter the hospital in a courteous and professional manner at all times.

  • Answers the phone in a timely manner using the proper greeting. On a daily basis, properly uses AIDET.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.

Minimum Experience Requirement

  • At least one year of experience as a receptionist, customer service agent, or any position that requires extensive public contact and interaction is required.

Required Skills/Certifications/Licenses

  • In-services and/or training provided in: patient handling, movement and body lifting techniques, Joint Commission, OSHA regulations, Universal Precautions, Crisis Management and Death and Dying.

  • Must also possess:
