Job Title: Senior Tax Accountant
Job Description:
We are currently looking for a talented Senior Tax Accountant to join our Certified Public Accountant (CPA) firm. This position will primarily be responsible for the preparation and review of complex tax returns including S-corp, C-corp, individual, partnership, estate, and trust returns.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and review complex tax returns including S-corp, C-corp, individual, partnership, estate, and trust returns.
Conduct tax research and planning to optimize tax benefits for clients.
Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, or other tax requirements.
Provide expert knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
Collaborate with clients to obtain necessary financial information and provide consultation on tax strategies.
Furnish taxpayers with sufficient information and advice to ensure tax compliance.
Assist in IRS audit defense, tax notices, and any tax-related matters.
Periodically review systems and processes, suggesting improvements as necessary.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior accountants and interns.
Keep up-to-date with industry changes and developments in tax law.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
CPA license is required.
A minimum of 3 years of public accounting experience.
Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Comprehensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving prowess with meticulous attention to detail.
Able to assertively manage work and effectively lead junior team members.
Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships.
