About Us:
Robert Half is seeking a short-term contract / temporary to hire staff accountant to support to manage day-to-day accounting tasks and provide assistance with Year End Close activities during a period of open positions. The Staff Accountant will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the company. Reporting to the accounting manager, the staff accountant will assist in various accounting functions to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Position Overview:
As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting our financial operations by assisting with various accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounting principles, strong attention to detail, and excellent analytical skills. This position offers the opportunity for professional growth and development within a dynamic and collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment processing, and reconciliation.
Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate financial records.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements.
Support the preparation of financial reports and analysis as needed.
Assist with audit preparation and respond to audit inquiries.
Perform other accounting duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, etc.).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
CPA or CPA candidate preferred but not required.
