The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources and a passion for supporting a non-profit organization. This role involves managing a variety of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance. The HR Generalist will play a key role in ensuring our organization attracts, develops, and retains top talent.
Responsibilities:
Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including posting job vacancies, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and coordinating onboarding activities
Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS system
Provide guidance and support to employees on HR-related inquiries, policies, and procedures
Coordinate and conduct new hire orientations and training sessions
Assist with performance management processes, including goal setting, evaluations, and feedback
Support employee relations initiatives, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
Participate in HR projects and initiatives to support organizational goals
Conduct exit interviews and analyze data to improve employee retention and satisfaction
Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role, preferably in the non-profit sector
Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and HRIS software
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred but not required
