Robert Half Director of Revenue in Santo Domingo Pueblo, New Mexico

Description

We are in search of a Director of Revenue Cycle to work in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The individual will be responsible for leading operational, financial, and programmatic activities for the Revenue Cycle, including provider enrollment, claims, payments, credit balance, insurance reimbursement, and self-pay management. This role is in the healthcare industry and requires close collaboration with various stakeholders to coordinate the activities of the Revenue Cycle across the corporation.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and support the daily operations of the revenue cycle & credentialing team, including billing, follow-up and collections, cash posting, and metrics reporting.

• Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency within the billing department.

• Establish and maintain departmental policies and procedures, ensuring they are being followed correctly.

• Prepare and deliver reports to operational leadership outlining progress toward meeting annual goals and objectives.

• Stay updated with new trends and best practices and incorporate them into Revenue Cycle practices and programs.

• Design and execute training programs for personnel to effectively perform revenue cycle responsibilities, with a specific focus on medical coding.

• Develop and implement clinical outcome measures for quality improvement, cost, and complication reduction, and the implementation of evidence-based medicine.

• Create business plan(s) and justify variances and analyze the cost benefit of programs.

• Direct and guide managers to effectively allocate resources based on patient volume, space, availability, budget constraints, and program priorities, goals, and objectives.

• Maintain records related to operations and services that are complete, accurate, available, and in compliance with all legal, regulatory, and policy requirements.

• Complete third-party audits relative to claims, collection agency activities, and identification of issues.

• Identify and correct operating issues that will maximize the effect on cash flow.

• Participate in negotiations with both current and targeted insurers.

Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role or in the field of finance, particularly in revenue management.

• Proficiency in CRM systems for managing customer relationships and data.

• Knowledge and practical application of data mining techniques for revenue generation and growth.

• Experience in managing accounts receivable (AR), including invoicing, payment collection, and reporting.

• Expertise in auditing, particularly financial audits, to ensure compliance with regulations and accuracy in financial reporting.

• Familiarity with billing functions, including the creation, sending, and tracking of bills.

• Proficiency in creating and managing budget processes to ensure effective allocation of resources.

• General accounting skills, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, and fiscal analysis.

• Knowledge of community health norms and protocols.

• Familiarity with basic medical terminology, for effective communication with healthcare professionals.

• Understanding and experience with CPT codes, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding for billing purposes.

• Strong analytical reasoning abilities to interpret data and make strategic decisions.

• Experience with third-party billing procedures and norms.
