Robert Half Accountant in Sarasota, Florida
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a meticulous Credit Clerk in Sarasota, Florida. The role is within the accounting industry and will involve processing customer credit applications, maintaining customer credit records, and resolving credit inquiries. The workplace will be a dynamic environment where proficiency in accounting software systems and enterprise resource planning is required.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently processing customer credit applications.
• Maintaining accurate records of customer credit.
• Resolving customer credit inquiries in a timely manner.
• Monitoring customer credit accounts regularly.
• Taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments when necessary.
• Proofreading and entering all bills and researching items as needed.
• Handling billing issues, including managing leads files and conducting check runs as needed.
• Ensuring accuracy in proofing GL and coding AP.
• Assisting in other accounting functions as required.
• Utilizing accounting software systems effectively to maintain accurate records. Requirements • Must possess a strong proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is essential
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions is required
• Should have a solid understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is crucial
• Must have prior experience in Auditing
• Knowledge of Budget Processes is necessary
• Proficiency in Juris is required
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills are required
• Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are needed
• Must have a high level of integrity and dependability
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are a plus
• Must be able to adhere to strict deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
• CPA certification is considered a plus but not required.
