Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, exceptional analytical skills, and a deep understanding of accounting principles. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records while providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP
Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals
Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for budget-to-actual discrepancies
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections
Perform internal audits and develop/implement procedures to improve financial controls and efficiency
Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals to facilitate audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
Mentor and train junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed
Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulations, and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and guidelines
Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred
years of experience in accounting, with a focus on general ledger and financial reporting
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems preferred
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial principles
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
