Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, exceptional analytical skills, and a deep understanding of accounting principles. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records while providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP

  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals

  • Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for budget-to-actual discrepancies

  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections

  • Perform internal audits and develop/implement procedures to improve financial controls and efficiency

  • Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals to facilitate audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities

  • Mentor and train junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed

  • Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulations, and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and guidelines

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred

  • years of experience in accounting, with a focus on general ledger and financial reporting

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems preferred

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial principles

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
