Robert Half Certified Public Accountant in Sausalito, California

Description

We are in search of a Certified Public Accountant to become part of our team in the payments industry, this role is 100% remote! The Certified Public Accountant will play a crucial role in our organization, overseeing and reviewing tax compliance, collaborating on worldwide tax strategy, and implementing automation processes for tax calculations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and review US federal, state, and local income tax compliance prepared by external advisors

• Collaborate with financial officers on worldwide tax strategy

• Lead the transfer pricing exercise as we expand globally

• Assist with the calculation, filing, and payment of various state and local non-income taxes

• Work closely with external tax advisors to prepare quarterly and annual income tax provisions and disclosures in accordance with US GAAP

• Perform and document associated SOX controls for tax accounting and reporting

• Support the monthly and quarterly close processes including the preparation of tax journal entries and tax account reconciliations

• Assist with tax informational reporting and tax planning projects including new business initiatives tax support, state nexus, and R& D tax credit studies

• Manage tax audits including the preparation of responses to inquiries from tax authorities

• Develop and implement automation processes for tax calculations.

Requirements

• Must possess a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Experienced in operating General Ledger and making Journal Entries

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Capable of handling Month End Close activities

• Familiarity with NetSuite software is a plus

• Knowledge of Sales Tax, Cash tax, Corporate Income Tax, Personal Property Tax, Property Tax, and Property Tax Returns

• Proficient in managing Payroll Tax Returns

• Must be a team player with excellent communication skills

• High attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure

• Must be committed to continuous learning and professional development.
