Robert Half Payroll Specialist in Savannah, Georgia
Description We are offering a contract to hire opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in Savannah, Georgia. As part of our team, you will be responsible for processing payroll for two dealerships, maintaining accurate payroll records, and handling related accounting tasks. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operations of our team.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process semi-monthly payroll for up to 100 employees
• Regularly use NetChex and DealerTrack software for payroll processing
• Conduct check reconciliations and manage payroll deductions
• Handle a small portion of accounts payable
• Utilize various accounting software systems, including IBM AS/400 and Kronos Timekeeping System
• Perform 401k - RRSP Administration tasks
• Carry out various accounting functions as needed
• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
• Use the 'About Time' software for effective time management
• Leverage skills in ADP - Financial Services and Ceridian for efficient payroll processing. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems.
• Experience with ADP Financial Services.
• Knowledge of Ceridian payroll software.
• Familiarity with IBM AS/400 and Kronos Timekeeping System.
• Experience in administering 401k and RRSP.
• Proficiency in using About Time software for time tracking and management.
• Demonstrable understanding of accounting functions.
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Detail-oriented and able to work with a high degree of accuracy.
