Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Scarborough, Maine
Description
We are currently partnering with an established local company in Greater Portland for an Accounting Manager opportunity.
The ideal Accounting Manager will have the following skills and experience:
Perform bank reconciliations and reviewing of deposits in accounting system and student database ensuring that the two systems reconcile.
Manage earned revenue recognition.
Maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger.
Drive the month and year end close processes.
Financial statement / monthly reporting package preparation.
Ensures accuracy and completeness of data within financial systems.
Manage fixed assets and depreciation.
Prepaid expense and prepaid insurance tracking.
Identify, manage and track income and expense accruals.
Maintain accurate database of all vendor information including, payment address, tax identification number and contact information. Issue Form 1099 as required.
Research any unknown or non-reconciling charges using methods such as contract review, vendor contact or discussions with employees to gain complete understanding of all charges.
Audit preparation.
