We are in search of a Controller to join our team located in Schaumburg, Illinois. This role primarily involves managing the company's finance and accounting activities, focusing on strategic finance, financial planning and analysis, and financial reporting and accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a key leader for the Accounting and Finance department, driving process improvements, and providing accounting policy guidance to all areas of the business.

• Oversee and review all month-end closing activities including general ledger maintenance, journal entries review, and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Implement strategies to minimize corporate tax risk and obligations.

• Produce timely financial reports (financial statements, trends, and other performance reports) and interpret financial data to provide the status of financial condition.

• Maintain accurate job costing breakdowns.

• Assist with corporate and property related insurance programs.

• Liaise with lenders to meet reporting requirements and covenant compliance.

• Serve as point-of-contact for union and bank audits.

• Drive the annual budget/business plan process and monitor that costs are in alignment with Company’s strategic plan.

• Maintain an accurate and reliable job backlog.

• Prepare periodic forward-looking business forecasts and financial models that provide insight into the company’s operations, cash flow, and financial position.

Requirements

• Proficiency in 3M and other accounting software systems is required.

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is necessary.

• Proficient in using CRM and Crystal Reports.

• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting functions, including but not limited to, Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Auditing experience is a must.

• Demonstrated expertise in budget processes is required.

• A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is necessary.
