We are partnered with a reputable and growing accounting firm located in Schoharie, NY, dedicated to providing high-quality financial and tax services to individuals and businesses. We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant that will contribute to their commitment to excellence in client service.
Position Overview:
As a Tax Accountant with 5+ years of experience, you will play a crucial role in our firm's success by providing expertise in individual and corporate tax returns. You will work closely with clients to ensure compliance with tax regulations while maximizing tax efficiency and savings.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review individual and corporate tax returns, including complex filings.
Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients.
Stay up-to-date with tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate and compliant filings.
Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information.
Identify tax-saving opportunities and strategies for clients.
Resolve tax-related issues and discrepancies.
Assist clients with IRS and state tax audits, as needed.
Maintain organized and accurate tax records.
Offer exceptional client service and build strong client relationships.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
CPA or EA certification preferred.
5+ years of experience in tax accounting.
Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
