Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Clerk to join our team in Seaford, New York. As an Accounting Clerk, you will handle data entry tasks, utilize Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks, and perform basic office duties. This role requires exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate customer credit records.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain and update customer credit records to ensure accuracy
• Use Microsoft Excel for data analysis and record keeping
• Leverage QuickBooks and QuickBooks Enterprise for financial management tasks
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Perform account reconciliation tasks to ensure financial accuracy
• Perform receptionist duties as needed, providing excellent customer service
• Ensure office supplies are adequately stocked and available
• Handle billing tasks, ensuring customers are invoiced accurately and promptly
• Utilize basic office skills to maintain an organized and efficient workplace
Requirements
• Accurate data entry skills are a high priority for this role
• Some experience using Microsoft Excel for financial tracking and reporting
• Knowledge of QuickBooks is helpful for managing and maintaining financial records
• Phone skills are key as the role will involve handling calls and greeting clients
• Familiarity with QuickBooks
• Ability to effectively maintain office supplies, ensuring that all necessary materials are always available
• The candidate should have basic office skills, such as filing, copying, and handling mail, to assist in the daily operations of the office.
