Description
We are in search of a Medical Scribe to support a client in healthcare in Seaside, Oregon. This role involves taking detailed notes during patient appointments, inputting data into various systems, and writing correspondence such as emails and letters. The Medical Scribe will work closely with a healthcare provider and will be responsible for entering patient information into patient records as well as assisting with other tasks as needed.
Responsibilities:
• Sit side-by-side with the provider to take accurate notes during and outside of scheduled patient appointments
• Write various correspondence such as emails and letters using platforms like EPIC, Outlook, and Teams
• Input patient data into the system in a timely and precise manner
• Maintain a strong knowledge of medical terminology to ensure accurate transcription
• Monitor and update patient records as needed
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to assist with other tasks as required
• Utilize EPIC EMR system for efficient data management
• Ensure high typing accuracy in all data entry tasks
• Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to all healthcare privacy regulations
Requirements
• Must possess at least one year of experience in the healthcare field
• Strong ability to handle correspondence efficiently
• Familiarity with Epic EMR is ideal
• Proven experience as a Scribe will be beneficial
• The ability to handle confidential information responsibly
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Must have the ability to work independently and as a part of a team
• Basic understanding of medical terminology is necessary
• Proficiency in English language, both written and spoken, is required for this role
• Computer literacy, especially in MS Office Suite, is essential
