Robert Half Web Content Manager in Seatac, Washington

Description

Robert Half Marketing & Creative is working with a busy Puget Sound municipal client that is looking for an experienced Web Content Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary online content editor, oversee day-to-day content needs for the city’s external and internal websites, manage web enhancements; write, edit, proofread, and approve content posted on the city’s internal and external websites.

  • Publish content using CMS including producing pages as needed.

  • Project management, to include redesign of website, coordinating internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget.

  • Work collaboratively with the city’s IT staff and website vendor to address any issues affecting city websites in a timely manner.

  • Participate on the city's web team to continue enhancements and improvements to the website.

  • Monitor and manage website content.

  • Proofread and edit all content and assist with training for each department's content administrator; recommend design changes to improve readability and appearance.

  • Gather information, write, edit, layout, and proofread materials for news releases, web content, social media and more as needed.

  • Support social media promotion and management on various channels ensuring content meets city branding guidelines.

This role is 100% remote, 40 hours per week, for at least 6 months.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience supervising staff in a government agency OR a combination of education, training, and experience that provides the candidate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job.

  • Ability to design webpages and maintain website information.

  • Ability to write, edit design, produce, and disseminate communication materials using a variety of formats, including digital, print and web.

  • Ability to work effectively with multiple interruptions in a production environment to meet schedules and deadlines.

  • Ability to evaluate existing products and materials with an eye for content, translation support, clarity, usability, and accessibility.

  • Ability to shift priorities as needed to meet deadlines, be flexible, and adapt to changing situations.

  • Ability to stay up to date with new technology, trends, and applications related to discipline.
