Robert Half Accounting Manager in Seattle, Washington
Description
We are looking to hire an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Seattle, Washington. The individual in this role will be responsible for managing complex accounting procedures, leading accounting teams, and collaborating with other departments to ensure financial and tax compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the processing of the organization's payroll to meet biweekly deadlines.
• Oversee electronic timekeeping entry, reviewing, analyzing, and auditing payroll to ensure accuracy.
• Direct and manage accounts payable to meet weekly check runs and other purchasing obligations.
• Oversee financial and tax compliance, including compliance analysts, for the organization.
• Direct and manage tax returns performed by team or payroll provider.
• Oversee the preparation of journal entries and check requests related to payroll and payables.
• Reconcile payroll liability accounts monthly and investigate discrepancies.
• Hire, train, evaluate, supervise, and develop team members in the accounting team.
• Manage payroll information system, including payroll system conversions.
• Generate reports and provide training and consultation to branch staff to ensure financial accuracy.
• Maintain accounting guidelines by updating policies and procedures.
• Assist with month and year-end closing.
The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000 + discretionary bonus.

Requirements • Proficient in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• Demonstrated experience in Accounting Functions
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)
• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Strong knowledge of Auditing
• Experience with Billing Functions
• Knowledge of NetSuite software
• Strong Leadership Skills
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Ability to prepare and analyze Financial Statements
• Proficiency in Financial Reporting
• Experience with Reconciliations
• Experience in managing Payroll
• Knowledge of Non-profit Accounting
