Description
Robert Half is seeking a part-time Cash Applications Assistant to assist one of our clients located in downtown Seattle. The client is looking for a 20-25 hour commitment and hybrid flexibility.
The role primarily involves managing cash transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring effective communication with customers. This position is within the banking industry, where meticulousness and proficiency in Bank Account Reconciliation and Journal Entries are paramount.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee daily cash transactions.
• Maintain and update financial records regularly with all cash and check transactions.
• Ensure accuracy in calculations and entries, and reconcile any discrepancies in the financial records.
• Perform Bank Account Reconciliation tasks to confirm that payments are correctly recorded.
• Prepare and post Journal Entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
• Coordinate with the team to manage, track, and reconcile banking activities.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Resolve customer inquiries by providing accurate information related to their accounts and transactions.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory standards, while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and security.
• Monitor customer accounts regularly for irregularities such as cash shortages or excess.
Requirements
• Applicant must possess strong skills in Bank Account Reconciliation.
• Proficiency in creating and maintaining Journal Entries is crucial.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
• Candidates must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Experience in a similar role or relevant financial role will be considered an asset.
• Prior experience using accounting software is desirable.
