Description
A regional law firm in Seattle is seeking a Patent Docketing Director to join their team.
The salary range is 100-150k with additional bonus earnings, medical, dental, vision and life insurance, a 401k with a company match, 15+ days PTO, paid holidays, paid parking or bus pass and other perks.
The role:
Oversee the docketing department and ensure 100% docket clearance and compliance
Supervise docketing personnel and answer questions for docketing staff, patent attorneys and agents
Maintain awareness of current UPSTO procedures and conduct regular research on patent rules
Maintain docket database, create reports
Set clear performance standards for docketing staff, troubleshoot docket maintenance issues, implement solutions, perform audits and review docketing for staff
Manage client transactions
Requirements
Requirements:
5+ years of experience as a Patent Prosecution Paralegal and or 5+ YOE Patent Docketing experience
Prior supervisory experience
Experience with USPTO, PAIR, Patent Center, WIPO and international databases
Working knowledge of IP specific software
Must reside in Washington or Oregon and able to travel to the office on a regular or periodic basis
