Job Title: Grants Program Manager

Job Description: Robert Half is seeking a Grants Manager to assist one of our nonprofit clients in the Seattle area. As a Grants Manager you will be responsible for managing various grant-funded projects, ensuring smooth implementation of these projects based on the organization’s strategy and execution plan. This role sits within the Grants and Contracts Department with overarching responsibilities associated with budgeting, project management, program implementation, evaluation oversight, and cross-functional team coordination, among others.

Reporting Structure: You will be reporting directly to the Director, Grants and Contracts Program, and will be an integral part of the Grants and Contracts team. However, this position is not expected to manage any employees directly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and finished projecting of individual project budgets within the confines of the overall division and agency budget.

  • Contribute to the creation and regular updating of budget narratives.

  • Manage reporting deadlines effectively.

  • Ensure smooth coordination among project teams for the success of individual and collective projects.

  • Execute a variety of program management tasks, such as budget monitoring, reporting, strategic planning, and resource development.

  • Collaborate with the data department to confirm the accuracy of project and program results.

  • Assess how different projects overlap and interconnect to maximize program benefits.

  • Regularly review and document program elements to meet performance standards and requirements.

  • Participate in collaborative meetings with community partners to enhance service delivery and promote program activities.

  • Identify and explore new funding opportunities, grant applications, and partner relationships to enhance program offerings and quality.

  • Coordinate project-related activities, workshops, and events.

  • Deliver reports on program performance to the executive team and directors.

  • Maintain compliance and quality standards for all programs in line with Project Management principles.

  • Collaborate with the communication team to raise program awareness.

  • Proactively participate in internal quality-improvement teams in line with organization mission and strategic goals

    Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in program coordination and management, including one year in budget development and management.

  • At least 1 years’ experience in grant management.

  • Excellent communication skills including public speaking and writing.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and evaluation pertaining to grant-funded projects.

  • Effective networking, coordination, and group facilitation skills.

  • Strong Project Management skills.

  • Ability to set priorities, monitor progress towards goals, and track detailed data.

  • Exceptional writing skills.

  • Demonstrated aptitude to make data-driven decisions.

  • Knowledge of unique healthcare needs and social issues impacting American Indians/Alaska Natives (AI/AN) is preferred.

  • Ability to assess situations and make clear, timely decisions in the organization's best interests.

  • Proficiency in computer applications necessary for job duties.

  • Comfortable working in independent or team environments.

  • Demonstrated cooperative behavior with colleagues, clients, community, and superiors.

  • Ability to handle pressure and meet tight deadlines.
