Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Seattle, Washington
Description In this role, you will be handling financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Candidates will need excellent analytical skills and an ability to keep up in a fast-paced workspace. This position comes with solid compensation, benefits, and advancement opportunities.
Your responsibilities
Engage in various department-wide initiatives
Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Work with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests
Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management
Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary Requirements - Strong familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP)
Cash flow management experience
General ledger experience preferred
Practical knowledge of financial statements consolidation
General familiarity with fixed assets
US GAAP experience highly desired
Proven knowledge of journal entries
Solid understanding of Monthly Account Reconciliation
Quality experience with management reporting
Well-founded grasp of accruals
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Current and relevant ERP system experience
Must have excellent time management skills
SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus
Vow to meet business deadlines
Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills
Prior work done in public accounting is desired
Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
