Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Seattle, Washington
Description We are in search of a skilled Sr. Accountant to join our team in the Seattle, Washington area. In this role, you will be tasked with handling a variety of accounting duties, including payroll, account reconciliation, and grant preparation. This position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity within the industry.
Responsibilities:
• Handle and process payroll for a team of over 100 employees
• Accurately maintain and update customer credit records
• Prepare and support grant work in line with company needs
• Conduct reconciliation work to support the controller
• Ensure all journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations are completed in a timely manner
• Utilize software such as Paylocity and Financial Edge for various accounting tasks
• Provide support for the CFO and other team members as needed
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data organization and analysis
• Ensure all financial activities adhere to company policies and legal regulations
• Assist in the preparation of month-end close processes. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of accounting.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations.
• In-depth knowledge of General Ledger management and Journal Entries.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
• Experience in managing Month End Close processes.
• Familiarity with Paylocity software is a strong advantage.
• Experience in handling bi-Monthly Payroll and managing Payroll for 101 - 500 Employees.
• Proficient in Payroll Functions, Process Biweekly Payroll, Process Payroll, and Reconcile Payroll.
• Experience in Year-end Payroll activities is a must.
• Proficiency in Financial Edge software is preferred.
• Must have the legal right to work in the hiring location.
• Candidates must be able to pass a standard background check.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required, a Master's degree or CPA is preferred.
