Robert Half is seeking a Staff Accountant for one of our Seattle based clients in the A& E industry. This position will report to and work directly with the Controller and work closely with project management and administrative staff. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Ensuring accurate entry of accounts payable/receivable to the relevant general ledger accounts

• Executing weekly payable check runs

• Managing monthly client invoicing along with credit memo or WIP adjustments

• Regularly updating cash posting and bank deposits

• Handling daily credit card receipt entry and monthly reconciliations

• Assisting in project management and client follow-ups as per email requests

• Reviewing and maintaining new project budget requests, add services, modifications against client contracts and scopes of work

• Setting up new vendors and subcontractors

• Processing W-9 forms for new vendors

• Scanning, filing, and logging accounting documents.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) operations

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) processes

• Experience with Client Invoicing

• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations efficiently

• Thorough understanding of the General Ledger

• Capable of making accurate Journal Entries

• Prior Experience in professional services or a& e industry will be helpful

• Proficiency in using Deltek software a huge plus
