Robert Half Bookkeeper in Secaucus, New Jersey
Description We are seeking a Bookkeeper to join our team in Secaucus, New Jersey. In this role, you will be in charge of managing our financial records, conducting bank reconciliations, and ensuring the accuracy of our financial data. You'll also be responsible for handling budgeting and forecasting activities, as well as utilizing accounting software for bookkeeping tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the company's financial records and transactions
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial data
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, such as income statements and balance sheets
• Handle budgeting and forecasting activities
• Utilize accounting software such as Sage for bookkeeping tasks
• Conduct general ledger accounting and maintain financial records
• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Handle administrative tasks related to office management, promoting an organized and efficient work environment
• Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable and Receivable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer invoicing
• Familiarize with tax preparation and compliance and apply the knowledge when required. Requirements • Proficient in Account Reconciliation
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations
• Strong Bookkeeping skills
• Proficient in Data Entry
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Month End Close
• Experience with Payroll
• Proficient in QuickBooks
