Description
Our client within the manufacturing industry has an exciting opportunity for a Property Accounting Manager with the proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work effectively in a dynamic, fast paced environment. This Property Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing and developing a team with expertise in the assigned area of concentration. The Property Accounting Manager role will oversee daily and monthly accounting activities for all operations within specified areas of expertise, focusing on ensuring the accuracy of financial information to safeguard the company's assets. If you hold a high level of financial modeling skills, have strong technical accounting abilities, and can safeguard company assets, this may be the role for you!
Responsibilities:
Complete the month-end close process and reporting, ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all property and general & administrative (G& A) activities by maintaining experienced staff.
Develop and implement best practices and procedures.
Provide direction and support for the assigned team, guiding their training and development to increase competency and commitment.
Prepare ad-hoc reports, analyses, and special projects as needed by the Director of Shared Services.
Assist and support audit initiatives, and monitor, enforce, and test internal control systems.
Prepare the annual budget for respective areas.
Direct and review staff activities and other special projects as assigned.
Requirements
The ideal Property Accounting Manager will have a Bachelors degree in Finance.
Other requirements for the Property Accounting Manager role include and are not limited to:
5+ years property/lease accounting experience
Strong leadership – will manage a team of 3 (2 staff accountants and 1 admin)
Oracle Fusion experience preferred
Strong GAAP knowledge
