Description
We are in search of a Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team based in Sellersville, Pennsylvania. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. As a HR Assistant, you will be tasked with responsibilities spanning from recruitment to benefits administration. This position is primarily involved in the Human Resources (HR) Administration field, with a focus on Onboarding, Background Checks, and Home Care.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct reference checks, make job offers, schedule orientation, and complete new hire paperwork.
Enter and update employee information in the HR database, manage disciplinary data, and report new hires to agencies.
File and update paperwork promptly, ensuring legal compliance for all employee records.
Process benefits paperwork, notify employees of changes, assist with COBRA notifications, and support Open Enrollment.
Implement safety procedures, confidentiality protocols, and quality assurance measures while ensuring legal and policy compliance.
Collaborate with co-workers, use tactful communication, follow up on complaints, and promote positive public relations.
Complete external information requests, review invoices, support grievance and discipline processes, and assist with office projects.
Requirements
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; HR certification or additional education is a plus.
Experience in HR or a relevant administrative role.
Knowledge of HR functions, laws, and best practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR databases.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
