In this Senior Accountant role, you will support the company's goals by preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, establishing budgets and forecasting, preparing audits, and handling internal control maintenance and cost accounting. To thrive in this position, you will need strong general accounting, along with cost accounting skills within the manufacturing industry. What you get to do every day
Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary
Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions
Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

Requirements
Strong communication and social skills
Prior work within the manufacturing industry
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Excellent attention to detail
Strong analytical capabilities and discernment
Ability to meet deadlines
5+ years of overall general accounting experience, with at least some time spent within manufacturing and having exposure to cost accounting & analysis.
BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
Experience with bank and account reconciliations, month end reports, cost analysis/ variance, and journal entries.
General familiarity with Standard Costing
System savvy with strong ERP system experience, along with advanced Excel skills
