Robert Half International Bookkeeper in Shelburne, Vermont


A local construction company has partnered with us to find a full-time construction project assistant/bookkeeper with a background in the construction field to support construction project administration.

The Duties of the Bookkeeper include contractor program compliance, data management, job/labor costing, and project bookkeeping.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper:

Provide administrative support to the construction/project management team.

Coordinate contact with subcontractors to ensure compliance with contract documents, billing approval, and payments.

Manage and maintain third-party contractor vendor program compliance.

Keep project files (electronically and manually) up to date on a daily basis.

Add, update, and maintain job/labor data input in various company databases.

Execute billing, accounts payable and accounts receivable in QuickBooks.

Track payment progress with customer and/or insurance companies.

Ability to work as a team player and maintain a good working relationship with co-workers and customers.

Qualifications and Required Skills of the Bookkeeper:

Experience in the construction industry.

Positive attitude.

Ability to work in a fast paced environment while meeting all deadlines.

Knowledge of general accounting procedures and experience using QuickBooks.

Proficiency using Microsoft Office Software: Word, Excel, and Outlook.

High Proficiency using database software.

Excellent data management skills.

Excellent customer service skills.

Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Great attention to detail.

Ability to accept responsibility for organizing work in relation to priorities.
