Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Shelbyville, Indiana. This role involves a range of responsibilities within the telecom provider industry such as analysis and reporting, reconciliation, and working with fixed assets, accruals, and trial balances. Proficiency in SAP and Excel is required.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough analysis and generate reports to support decision-making processes.
• Perform account reconciliations, including balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations.
• Manage fixed assets and accruals to ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Prepare trial balances and rectify any discrepancies.
• Utilize SAP for various accounting tasks and Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting.
• Record and maintain journal entries in the general ledger.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure accuracy and compliance in all accounting tasks. Requirements • Proven experience in a Sr. Accountant role or similar
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Experience with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning software
• Demonstrated ability in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations
• Strong understanding and experience with general ledger management
• Ability to prepare and post journal entries as part of the accounting cycle
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Professional certification, such as CPA or CMA, is highly desirable
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in dealing with sensitive financial information.
