Robert Half HR Generalist in Sherman Oaks, California
Description If you have a passion for Human Resources and you're looking for an exciting, new Generalist opportunity, Robert Half has a great opportunity for you as a Human Resources Generalist. This role will involve various HR duties, including recruiting, conducting new hire orientation, updating the employee handbook, and managing employee relations.
Collaborate with employees, upper management, and third-party vendors
Create & /or support a recruitment plan according to business and operational projections
Compare local, state, and federal laws to current internal policies and procedures
Responsible for operations tasks for the HR department
Employee relations, involving engaging employees and coordinating sensitive conversations
Create official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters
Evaluate employee performance, including appraising pay scales, assisting with annual reviews, and coordinating disciplinary action (including terminations if necessary)
Manage digital and physical files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews
Draft templates for various HR documents, including the Employee Handbook
Develop employee engagement plans, including budget approvals and management oversite
Work with other members of the HR department to manage the hiring and onboarding process for new company employees
Develop onboarding plans and train newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations Requirements - B.A. or B.S. degree preferred, preferably with a Human Resources or Psychology emphasis
Full cycle recruiting experience
Able to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
Strong knowledge of local, state and federal laws
Prior experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
- You should be highly professional; able to use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity
Prior HR Generalist experience
Proficient with social media platforms as well as office computer applications and software
Excellent written and verbal business skills
Prior experience coordinating and implementing Open Enrollment is a plus
