Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant in the Engineering industry, based in Shoreview, Minnesota. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. The Staff Accountant will be instrumental in maintaining financial accuracy, managing general ledger, and supporting audits. Your expertise will be crucial in meeting the needs of our clients and customers on a global scale.
Responsibilities:
• Manage general ledger to ensure financial accuracy
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes
• Provide audit support to ensure compliance
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) effectively
• Carry out bank reconciliations regularly
• Prepare and post journal entries as required
• Manage month-end close activities
• Handle sales tax related matters efficiently
• Ensure audit compliance to meet global standards
• Carry out year-end closings effectively.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations
• Familiarity with General Ledger management
• Ability to make accurate Journal Entries
• Knowledge of Month End Close procedures
• Experience with Sales Tax calculations and processes
• Understanding of Audit and Audit Compliance procedures
• Experience in Year End Closings
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proven track record of maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
