Robert Half Senior Accountant in Shreveport, Louisiana

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Shreveport, Louisiana. The primary function of this role is to manage and maintain financial records, including payroll, general ledger, and financial analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support

• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of financial instruments, market conditions, and trends

• Manage the preparation and publication of departmental and organization financial documents

• Collaborate with executive and senior staff on the annual budget, financial planning, and company decisions

• Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting

• Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts

• Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures

• Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization

• Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is mentioned in the job description

• Knowledge of QuickBooks Enterprise would be advantageous.

Requirements

• Experience in managing general ledger is mandatory

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Experience in handling payroll tasks is essential

• Knowledge and experience of QuickBooks Enterprise is a must

• Must have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

• Prior experience in a similar role, preferably as a senior accountant

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is an advantage.
