What you get to do every single day
Establish systems and protocols to direct the collection, calculation and entering of pay data
Direct voluntary deductions, as well as wage garnishments, pay levies, and other involuntary court-ordered payments in a timely manner, including reporting to the necessary authorities
Go over data entered by others in the payroll software to include, but not limited to salary/wage increases, benefit deductions, employee termination dates, and employee leaves of absence under FMLA or other unpaid leave
Collaborate with Information Technology, Human Resources, and other internal business partners to ensure security protocols for pay systems
Provide timely processing of payroll in accordance with labor regulations and standard accounting principles
Investigate pay practices related to FLSA, other payroll areas, and fringe benefit reporting to determine how those practices apply to advise management
Operate regular payroll reporting as required and assist with financial audits related to pay records and associated general ledger
Meet current payroll tax requirements and relevant laws associated with the processing of employee wage data, including payroll taxes, employee federal and state income and social security taxes and other required reporting
Support staff with fringe benefits, pay related issues, general questions related to payroll, PTO accruals, and wage deductions
Organize quarterly and year-end payroll reports
Requirements
Accomplished in processing liens, various withholdings, and garnishments
Need to have practical experience in an HRIS system and high proficiency with spreadsheets
FPC or CPP most optimal
Skills in Reconcile Payroll
Well-founded grasp of garnishments payroll
Benefits payroll experience
Practical knowledge of payroll for over 500 employees
Earlier work involving Process Biweekly Payroll
Good understanding of Process Bi-weekly Payroll
General familiarity with multi-state payroll
Proven knowledge of payroll systems for 100-500 employees
Comprehension of ADP Workforce Now is a MUST HAVE
Full Cycle Payroll experience
Quality experience with Payroll Law
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) experience
Wide ranging experience with Payroll Tax
Previous experience working with Process Payroll
Payroll experience highly desired
Multi-state payroll experience
3+ years of payroll experience
