Description
Robert Half is looking for a Director of Finance to join our client! As part of the management team, the director of finance must have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills. If you are an experienced VP/Director of Finance looking for a challenging role at an established company, this may be the role for you.
What you get to do every single day
Supervise all operations of the finance and accounting department
Oversee the preparation of all financial reports
Analyze and monitor forecasting and budgeting models
Decide on benchmarks for comparing the operating and financial performance
Oversee all hiring aspects of finance staff, including training and retention
Supervise risk and insurance management
Oversee the preparation of financial forecasts and outlooks
Own financial planning and budget management functions
Develop five-year business plans with department managers
Comply with all budgetary reporting requirements, including local, state, and federal
Prepare financial analysis for product investment decisions and contract negotiations
Analyze monthly operating performance against budget
Manage the operating procedures of the department, including short- and long-range goals, objectives, and policies- Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals and objectives

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
10+ years of finance and accounting experience
MBA or CPA is preferred
Strong analytical thinking and a detail-oriented mindset
Experience with multiple accounting and financial reporting systems
Prior experience with finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
