Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Surgery Scheduler in Simi Valley, California. The position is in the healthcare industry, specifically in a hospital setting. The Surgery Scheduler will be expected to efficiently manage and coordinate schedules, handle patient scheduling, and perform billing functions among other responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate surgery schedules ensuring efficient use of resources
• Handle patient scheduling, managing appointments and rescheduling as needed
• Respond to inbound calls, providing information and assistance to callers
• Process necessary authorizations for surgeries
• Perform billing functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Utilize software such as Allscripts, Banner Ads, Cerner Technologies, CRM, and Dentrix Dental Software for various tasks
• Maintain accurate patient records and update as necessary
• Resolve patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth workflow and efficient patient care
• Assist in other administrative tasks as required in the role of Surgery Scheduler. Requirements • Proficiency in answering inbound calls in a professional and courteous manner.
• Experience with authorizations, ensuring all necessary permissions are obtained for surgeries.
• Knowledge of billing functions and ability to accurately manage and process invoices.
• Proven capability in coordinating schedules, including doctors, staff, and patients.
• Experience with patient scheduling, ensuring a smooth and organized process for all parties.
• Familiarity with surgery scheduling, including pre-operative procedures, surgery times, and post-operative care coordination.
