Description
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist. If you have AP experience, thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy research and "auditing" tasks and are knowledgeable with Excel, this may be the opportunity for you!!
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently handle a high volume of invoice discrepancies and vendor reconciliations
• Manage vendor statements to ascertain all invoices have been processed and resolve any purchase order, invoice, and payment discrepancies
• Responsible for selecting vendor payments on weekly cash requirements and preparing payments for review and approval
• Manage a portion of the incoming emails to the AP inbox
• Audit files and ensure payments are correct before each payment run (weekly)
• Regularly review and audit open purchase orders and RPTs older than 90 days, requesting credits or refunds as applicable
Manage vendor communication - keep files up to date and handle the onboarding process for any new vendors
• Demonstrate an ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
• Use Excel for various tasks including v-lookups and pivot tables
• Utilize problem-solving skill set to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate customer credit records.
Hours: Monday - Friday 8-5 onsite. Opportunity for hybrid after a 3 month training period.

Requirements
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures
• Ability to conduct Auditing tasks with high attention to detail
• Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Experience with Purchase Orders, including creation, tracking, and reconciliation
• Strong capability in Inbox Management, ensuring timely responses and follow-ups
• Familiarity with Form 1099 procedures and requirements
• Experience in Vendor Management, including negotiation and relationship building
• Ability to Maintain Vendor Files, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Experience with Remittance processing, including verification and reconciliation
