Key duties

  • Research accounting literature and prepare technical memorandums, white papers, and internal accounting policy documentation

  • Review new customer agreements to assess accounting treatment and suggest proper terms and structure with regards to US GAAP treatment

  • Work with the General Ledger team to develop and maintain operational aspect of new accounting pronouncements

  • Assess the impact of new and updated existing accounting pronouncements on current accounting policies and practices and recommend appropriate accounting treatment

  • Prepare quarterly and annual filings including all financial statements and related disclosures and supporting analyses/schedules on a timely, accurate and compliant basis

  • Work with external auditors and subject matter experts on timely resolution of technical accounting matters

  • Utilize Shareworks to ensure that accounting for equity awards and all stock-based compensation is gathered and recorded in accordance with US GAAP

  • Work with VP Finance and Accounting Manager to drive Sarbanes-Oxley compliance effort, including design and documentation of the Company’s internal control environment. Lead ongoing testing of key internal controls

  • Maintain ongoing subject matter expertise on all relevant accounting standards

    Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Economics, or related field. CPA required

  • At least 7 years’ experience at a Big 4 / Tier 2 Public Accounting Firm or a combination of public/private

  • Experience auditing US Public Companies with foreign subsidiaries and accounting for complex contracts with customers under ASC 606 is a plus

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Office

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required

  • Ability to multi-task in fast-paced setting, you will be asked to make judgement calls about prioritization
