Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Solon, Ohio
Description Robert Half is actively looking for for a Full Charge Bookkeeper. Are you proficient at multitasking, communicating, organizing, and managing your time? In this position, you will prepare financial statements; establish and maintain the accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives of the organization; and handle all other general accounting and bookkeeping functions. This long-term contract / temporary Full Charge Bookkeeper opportunity is based in Solon, Ohio.
Responsibilities
Tracking fixed assets and constructing depreciation schedules
Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable; handling collections as needed
Handling reconciliations for bank and general ledgers, and processing payroll
Supervising tasks of accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers
Producing the trial balance and financial statements, including, but not limited to, balance sheet and statements of income and of cash flows
Retaining historical records through the accurate filing of documents
Following federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements, implementing adherence to requirements, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions
Ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close Requirements - Excel, Quickbooks, and Peachtree experience a plus
High school diploma or equivalent, AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business preferred
Experience with payroll preferred
3+ years of bookkeeping experience
Knowledgeable of accrual and cash basis of accounting
Ability to multitask effectively
Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills
Capable of working independently with minimal oversight
Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments
Outstanding skills in analyzing financial data and promptly generating accurate reports
Demonstrated knowledge of fixed assets
Experience with Journal Entry
Adeptness in bank statements
Journal entries experience
Expertise in month end closings
General familiarity with NetSuite
Month end closings experience desired
Deep understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
Practical knowledge of Accounting Functions
