Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Somerset, Kentucky

Description

We are offering an exciting role for an Accounting Clerk based in Somerset, Kentucky, United States. The role functions in the financial industry and primarily entails providing administrative and clerical support within our financial department.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update accounting records through tasks such as transaction posting, bank statement reconciliation, and report preparation.

• Manage invoice verification and reconciliation, analyze discrepancies, and resolve client billing issues.

• Assist in the facilitation of invoice payments by sending bill reminders and liaising with clients.

• Process business transactions such as accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers, and receipts.

• Assist in both internal and external auditing procedures.

• Implement accounting policies, procedures, and strategies to maintain the company’s financial health.

• Regularly report on the status of accounts payable, accounts receivable, profit and loss, and other financial transactions to senior management.

• Assist with payroll and budget preparation as well as other financial tasks as required.

• Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, Data Entry, Invoice Processing, Microsoft Excel, and QuickBooks to efficiently execute tasks and maintain accurate records.

Requirements • Possess at least 2 years of experience in an accounting clerk role or in a similar financial position

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management

• Demonstrable experience in billing and invoice processing

• Proven skills in data entry with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for financial data management and analysis

• Proficiency in QuickBooks for accounting tasks and financial reporting

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive financial information

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients and team members

• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Demonstrable analytical skills for understanding and interpreting financial data.
