Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Attorney/Lawyer in Somerset, Kentucky. This role focuses on real estate law, specifically handling title expansions, closings, and transactions.
Responsibilities:
• Handling all aspects of real estate transactions, including drafting contracts and overseeing closings
• Providing legal advice on real estate matters, such as property rights and regulatory compliance
• Conducting title searches to confirm property ownership and identify potential issues
• Collaborating with clients, real estate agents, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth transactions
• Utilizing expertise in real estate law to resolve disputes and legal issues
• Preparing and reviewing legal documents related to real estate transactions
• Representing clients in court, if necessary, on real estate-related cases
• Staying updated on changes in real estate laws and regulations
• Providing legal advice on title expansion processes
• Utilizing skills in 'Real Estate - Title' to ensure all legalities of real estate transactions are correctly handled.
Requirements
• Must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in the state of KY (active and in good standing)
• A minimum of 3 years of experience
• Strong knowledge of federal, state and local laws.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive information.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to make sound legal decisions.
• High ethical standards and professional integrity.
