Description

We are looking for an experienced and strategic COO to join our team in Somerset, Kentucky. In this role, you will be instrumental in translating the vision into actionable business strategies and operational plans, overseeing financial management, spearheading strategic planning, and providing operational strategy and leadership. You will also be responsible for leadership and team management, as well as organizational development within the company.

Responsibilities:

• Translate the vision into actionable business strategies and operational plans, ensuring alignment and execution across all levels of the organization

• Lead financial planning and strategy development, preparing accurate and timely financial reporting and accounting practices to improve performance and ensure compliance with budgetary goals

• Develop and execute comprehensive business strategies to increase growth, profitability, and market leadership, coordinating efforts across all company departments and subsidiaries

• Create and monitor key performance metrics and operational KPIs to ensure targets are met or exceeded, adjusting as needed to drive performance

• Provide strategic guidance and oversight across all subsidiaries, managing and expanding all company operations and departments, including shared functions like accounting, legal, and operations

• Manage and mentor all internal teams, creating a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional development

• Proactively identify challenges and implement strategies to mitigate risks, serving as the primary point of contact for client, investor, and deal flow contacts with concerns and problems

• Create a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation throughout the organization, supporting and leading internal teams and external relationships

• Design and implement a company playbook to improve organizational effectiveness

• Handle all aspects of finance, including building and managing investment portfolios and obtaining financing or investors.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting. An MBA is a plus.

• Proven experience in an executive role in a real estate company or a similar industry.

• Solid understanding of the real estate market and operational processes.

• Exceptional leadership and management skills with the ability to make decisive, informed decisions.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented mindset.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficiency in managing budgets, strategic planning, and resources.
