In this critical role, you will:
Serve as the cornerstone of our financial operations: Oversee all aspects of accounting, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and accessibility of financial records.
Collaborate with department leadership: Reconcile accounts, prepare adjusting entries, and verify the accuracy of period-ending reports, supporting informed decision-making.
Become a leader and mentor: Supervise and guide entry-level accounting professionals, fostering their development and fostering a collaborative team environment.
Embrace continuous learning: Stay current on industry trends and accounting software advancements, identifying opportunities to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
Communicate effectively: Adapt your communication style to engage diverse stakeholders, from accounting staff to executives, ensuring clear and concise information exchange.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you will possess:
Strong analytical and mathematical skills for precise financial analysis and calculations.
Proficiency in accounting software, spreadsheets, and word processing to navigate complex financial tasks with ease.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy and identify potential errors.
2-3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a non-profit setting.
