Description

We are offering a contract employment opportunity in South Paris, Maine for an Accounting Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work in the construction industry, utilizing Sage Intact software system to fulfill a range of accounting functions. This role is integral to maintaining the financial health and efficiency of our operations.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems to manage and process financial data

• Use Microsoft Excel to create spreadsheets, charts, and reports for financial analysis

• Perform a variety of Accounting Functions including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment and invoicing

• Handle Billing Functions, creating and sending invoices and managing payment receipts

• Process checks, ensuring they are correctly written, signed, and distributed

• Perform month end, journal entries and help with internal/external audits

• Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure the accuracy of financial information.

Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Billing Functions

• Knowledge of Check Processing

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately

• Prior experience in a similar role is highly desirable
