Description
We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity in South Portland, Maine, for a diligent and meticulous Finance Manager. The chosen candidate will be joining our team and will be tasked with supervising budgeting, finance, oversight of accounts payable, and other financial duties related to audits.
Responsibilities
• Oversee and manage the overall budgeting process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Supervise finance operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards
• Utilize Tyler Technologies Munis and other accounting software systems to streamline financial operations
• Manage financial audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and reports are prepared and submitted in a timely manner
• Oversee accounts payable operations, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and processed
• Implement and maintain effective auditing procedures to ensure financial transparency and accountability
• Monitor and manage accounting functions, ensuring they align with the company's financial goals
• Ensure all financial processes adhere to compliance standards
• Utilize knowledge of budget processes to enhance financial efficiency and profitability
• Handle other financial duties as assigned, ensuring the smooth operation of the company's financial department.
Requirements
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.
• Must have a strong understanding of Accounting Functions.
• Experience in Auditing is essential.
• Familiarity with Budget Processes is necessary.
• Must be able to manage Compliance-related tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of Tyler Technologies Munis is a plus.
• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required.
• Should have excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities are crucial.
• Must have a solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
